Oh, The Things You Can Make When You Bake A Cake!

Last weekend, Immaculate Heart of Mary Middle School performed “Seussical The Musical, Jr.”  This is the cake I created for their cast party.

 “Seussical The Musical” combines “Horton Hatches An Egg” and “Horton Hears A Who” into one story.  So, my cake features Horton holding the clover and sitting on the nest.

All of the items on the cake are designed to look like the costumes and props used in the play.

In the musical, Horton is forced to join a circus.  While Horton is in the circus, they force him to wear a party hat.  So, I included a party hat on Horton.

In the musical, Horton quotes his two famous lines – “I meant what I said and I said what I meant, an elephant’s faithful 100% percent” and “A person’s a person no matter how small.”  Horton said the later more, so I included that classic line on a plaque underneath Horton.
