Yoda has his lightsaber drawn, ready to defend against any Sith that may threaten the safety of the Republic. This pose of Yoda reminds me of two of Master Yoda’s most memorable lightsaber duels: when he fought Count Dooku (Darth Tyranus) in ‘Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones’ and when he fought Chancellor Palpatine (Darth Sidious) in ‘Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.’ This wonderful Star Wars Cake was made by Christine of Imaginarium Cakes for her son’s 8th birthday party. She used Wooden dowels for the internal structure for Yoda. She did an excellent job creating Yoda’s glowing lightsaber from scratch using a 3 volt LED and some rolled cellophane. This approach made it realistic looking, lightweight, and the proper scale to fit Yoda’s hands. The kids at the party thought it was great to witness the first piece of cake being cut from Yoda’s belly.
