Twist And Shout With This Awesome Beatles Cake

Beatles Cake

This awesome Beatles Cake was made by Isbilya Cakes.  I love how this cake combines two different periods the Beatles – the early British Invasion years and the later more mature era.

Oh yeah, I’ll tell you something
I think you’ll understand
When I’ll say that something

I wanna hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand

The figures of John, Paul, Ringo, and George with their mop top haircuts are terrific!  All that’s missing is Ed Sullivan.

Though I know I’ll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Another pictures of the awesome Beatles Cake topper.

It was twenty years ago today
Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play
They’ve been going in and out of style
But they’re guaranteed to raise a smile
So may I introduce to you
The act you’ve known for all these years
Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band

The top layer is the British flag with the names of the three people the birthday cake was made for in silver.

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they’re here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday
Suddenly, I’m not half the man I used to be
There’s a shadow hanging over me.
Oh, I yesterday came suddenly

Why she had to go I don’t know she wouldn’t say
I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday

The bottom layer has the silhouette of the Beatles crossing Abbey Road.  But instead of Abbey Road, they’re crossing a keyboard.  All of this layer is done in contrasting black and white.  The effect is terrific.

The long and winding road that leads to your door
Will never disappear
I’ve seen that road before

it always leads me here
Leads me to your door
The wild and windy night that the rain washed away
Has left a pool of tears crying for the day
Why leave me standing here, let me know the way
Many times I’ve been alone and many times I’ve cried
Anyway you’ll never know the many ways I’ve tried
And still they lead me back to the long and winding road
