This Amazing Tic-Toc the Crocodile Cake was made by Rebecca Jane Sugar Art. This Peter Pan villain is peering out of the water with a big smile on his face. This Disney cake was made to celebrate the third birthday of a little boy who is a huge Peter Pan and Tic-Toc the Crocodile fan.
This cake makes me think of the song, Never Smile at a Crocodile, which was played as an instrumental piece whenever Tic-Toc appeared in the animated Disney movie, Peter Pan.
Never smile at a crocodile
No, you can’t get friendly with a crocodile
Don’t be taken in by his welcome grin
He’s imagining how well you’d fit within his skin
Never smile at a crocodile
Never tip your hat and stop to talk awhile
Never run, walk away, say good-night, not good-day
Clear the aisle but never smile at Mister Crocodile
This cake turns this song on its ear. Since this is a cake, the words could be changed to
Always smile at this crocodile
Yes, you can get friendly with this crocodile
Do be taken in by his welcome grin
And imagine just how well he’d fit within your skin
Always smile at this crocodile
You can tip your hat and stop to talk awhile
He should run, walk away, say good-night, not good-day
Clear the aisle you can smile at Mister Crocodile
You can imagine how well he will fit within your skin when you eat him since he is a cake.
Tic-Tic’s head is sticking up out of the water. His white teeth are showing and his pink tongue is draped over the side of his mouth. His white round eyes are looking up at you. The various shades of the blue water have been painted onto the cake.
There is a brown wooden sign on the cake in the midst of tall multicolored green grass. Peter Pan’s hat is hanging on the sign. The words of the sign say ‘Please Don’t Feed the Crocodile’ with the word ‘Don’t’ crossed out. The tall grass was hand-painted onto the cake.
