The cake is white and the top is painted with patches of blue to look like clouds. In the clouds is a silhouette of Mary Poppins. She is holding her open umbrella with one hand and her carpet bag with the other.
The side of the cake is hand painted. It continues the flying theme because the side looks like rooftops, kites, and birds. The hand painting is sensational.
The use of color on this cake is wonderful. All of the cake is white or shades of blue except for the silhouette of Mary Poppins. Because of this, Mary Poppins really stands out. The over all effect is terrific.
