This wonderful Star Trek: Voyager Cake spotlights Captain Kathryn Janeway. Captain Janeway was played by Kate Mulgrew and was the Captain of the USS Voyager. This terrific cake was made by Samantha’s Cake Design.
This is a two layer cake with a handmade cake topper of Captain Janeway. The side of bottom layer looks like a Borg. Voyager had more encounters with the Borg than any other starship and even had a Borg crewmember and a few Borg passengers. The top layer of the cake has a combadge in the center. The cake board is black with the name Janeway written in red. Each layer also has ruffles and sprinkles.
The use of color on this cake is fantastic. The cakeboard is black with red writing on it. This draws out the black and red in Janeway’s uniform. The red light on the Borg implant is also the same red color. The silver on the combadge and the base underneath the Captain Janeway Cake Topper matches the silver of the Borg implant.
Here is a close-up of the Captain Janeway Cake Topper. The base of this cake topper reminds me of a transporter pad.
I really like the Borg implant in the bottom of the cake. It is so eye catching and really makes the cake stand out.
