Here is Azzurra’s description of this Amazing cake:
“Harley Quinn, nice to meet’cha!!!” Dr Harleen Frances Quinzel, also known as Harley Quinn (a pun on the word “harlequin”), first appeared in “Batman: The Animated Series” episode “Joker’s Favor”, where she served as a humorous female sidekick to The Joker. In her first appearances she was depicted as a character completely devoted to the Joker, totally oblivious to his psychotic nature and obvious lack of affection for her; this characterization has remained more or less consistent throughout her subsequent appearances. The Joker was abusive towards Quinn: hitting her or throwing her out of buildings, all while playing sadistic mind games with her. The series clearly depicted the patterns of domestic violence: He beats her and cast her out before wooing her back. At one point she explained, “Don’t get me wrong, my Puddin’s a little rough, but he loves me, really.” He never seems to actually be able to have some feelings, not even for her. In the recent movie “Suicide Squad”, Harley’s character was way different than her classic depiction and her relationship with The Joker has a more romantic twist though the violent side still remains. I choose to represent this later version of her (the one played by actress Margot Robbie) because I’ve been fascinated with her completely crazy character and by her Style. She is completely made out of modelling fondant, handmade and handpainted strating from a RKT structure.
