Here is Cara’s description of this Amazing cake:
My inspiration for this piece is ‘Raven Queen’. Raven is a character derived from ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarves,’ introduced in 2013 as the daughter of the ‘Evil Queen’. She has a rebellious nature and no desire to follow her in her mother’s evil footsteps to become a villain. She is kind, beautiful and extremely loyal with a sarcastic side. Raven always wondered if she was told the whole truth. If Raven ever did accept her destiny, perhaps she might find the answers she’s been looking for on the other side of the looking glass where her evil mother is trapped. Raven loves the dark side of fashion. I have portrayed her style with the use of handmade wafer paper feathers, hand modelled detailing of the metal collar and head piece. I have also incorporated some gothic lace to her gloves and dress, along with some edible glitter to her outfit. She is completely hand modelled from a mix of modelling chocolate and fondant (Bakels). Her skirt has a base of RKT (Rice Krispie Treats). Her eyes and skull are made with isomalt. One jewel mould was used for her crown and chest plate
