This cake was part of the Huevos De Pascua Estilo Faberge (Faberge Style Easter Egg) cake collaboration.
I have always thought that Faberge eggs were beautiful. It’s amazing to see examples of these that are cakes.
This cake is a black Faberge egg trimmed in gold.
The baker used a threaded rod to support the cake. The bottom part of the egg was made using Rice Krispies Treats and the top of the egg is cake covered in fondant. A picture of Jesus was hand-painted onto the egg.
