Three glow in the dark cookies each one featuring one hitchhiking ghost — Glow-In-The-Dark Hitchhiking Ghosts Cookies

These Glow-In-The-Dark Hitchhiking Ghosts Cookies were made by Practically Perfect Cookies. They are purple cookies with a black border. In the center of each cookie is one of the Hitchhiking Ghosts. The ghosts are painted with green glow-in-the-dark paint.

I can’t tell tell if Ciara used props or photoshop, but the final photograph is sensational. The background is a foggy black and grey. There is a barren tree and a tombstone that reads “Welcome Foolish Mortals” in the background. Mix these together and you get a great looking photo.

The Hitchhiking Ghosts is probably the most iconic scene in Disney’s Haunted Mansion ride. You are riding in a vehicle called a Doom Buggy. It has a single bench seat, a low front with a handle bar and a high back that goes all the way past your head.

Very close to the end of the ride you pass three bluish green, transparent, shimmering ghosts who are trying to thumb a ride.

During this, the Ghost Host (the omni present unseen narrator) has began saying

“Ah, there you are! And just in time… there’s a little matter I forgot to mention — beware of hitchhiking ghosts!”

Your doom buggy turns a corner and you are now facing a mirror. You can see your doom buggy in the mirror. In the middle of the bench seat is one of the of three Hitchhiking Ghosts.

During this part, the Ghost Host is saying the classic lines:

“They have selected you to fill our quota, and they’ll haunt you until you return! Now I will raise the safety bar, and a ghost will follow you home!”

The Ghost Host laughs and you continue towards the very end of the ride while be admonished to “Hurry Back!”.
