These three magical Hocus Pocus Pumpkin Carvings were made by Joey Edwards. There are separate pumpkins for each of the Sanderson Sisters – Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker), Winifred “Winnie” (Bette Midler) and Mary (Kathy Najimy). The detail that Joey can put into a pumpkin carving is mindboggling. Look at Winnie’s outfit. The detailed pattern on her collar is out of this world.
I also really like how Joey lit each pumpkin with a slightly different color light. Usually when someone has a series of pumpkin carvings, they are all lit the same. By using slightly different lights, each pumpkin stands out more. That is a really brilliant trick.
Here are close-ups of these wonderful carvings. The group shot is great, but these close-ups really show off how intricate the detail is.
