This Ghostbusters Frozen Empire-Cake is a 3 tier fondant cake with the fondant Ghostbusters Frozen Emprie Logo, and fondant dimensional Slimer with Frozen Empire ice blue buildings behind him. I made this Ghostbusters Frozen Empire Cake for Icing Smiles for a medically fragile child. The child wanted Slimer and Frozen Empire as a theme for the cake. I always enjoy making cakes for these children.

This cake is composed of a yellow butter cake, frosted with vanilla white chocolate ganache and covered with fondant. Paints, colors, white chocolate ganache, fondant covering, and gumpaste are all edible.
I used my Cricut to create building stencils. These buildings were based on these skyline building stencils . I used thinned blue royal icing over ice blue sugar paste to create the windows from my stencils.. Next I cut out the buildings. After that I let the buildings harden for several days before putting them on the cake.
Creating Slimer
Here’s some in-progress pictures of slimer.
I created Slimer using lime green sugar paste. Next I made a black fondant base to make the character stand out. Also I added arms and body wrinkles and face cheeks to give the character dimension.
The airbrush paint really gives the character dimension. After this the painted teeth, gums, and tongue were added to the mouth for the final touches to Slimer.
Creating the Frozen Empire Ghostbusters Logo
The Ghostbusters cake topper has a tall 3 1/2 inch cake laying on its side. This design is based on the Frozen Empire Ghostbusters Logo cake done by Zoe’s Fancy Cakes. I cut out the ghost using white fondant and added a black fondant backing to make the ghost stand out. Also I created the ‘no’ red logo and gave it a black background also. Finally, I created the ice crystals using light blue fondant so they would match the light ice blue frozen buildings on the cake.

Finally to finish the cake, I placed a wooden dowel through the cake tiers and put holes in each cake board before assembly so the stick would go through. This held the tiers together for transport.
